The Role

We are seeking a talented and versatile Front-End Developer & UX/UI Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for both designing and developing engaging user interfaces, primarily using Angular. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to shape user experiences from concept to implementation, working closely with stakeholders and other team members to deliver intuitive, visually appealing, and responsive web applications and/or BI Dashboards.


The successful candidate will work closely with the Internal Digital Transformation team and business stakeholders (project sponsors, business owners and subject matter experts) to integrate solutions with databases, APIs and existing systems.


Responsibilities

UX/UI Design

  • Create wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes using tools such as Figma.
  • Develop and maintain design systems and reusable UI components.
  • Conduct basic UX research and usability testing to validate design decisions.
  • Ensure designs adhere to accessibility standards (WCAG) and brand guidelines.


Front-End Development

  • Implement designs using Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Optimise applications for performance, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Integrate front-end components with RESTful APIs and ensure secure data handling.
  • Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and collaborate with other developers.


Team collaboration and Learning

  • Work closely with developers, business analysts and project managers to achieve project milestones
  • Stay updated with emerging trends, best practices, and apply them to improve existing solutions.
  • Required Qualifications and Skills


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with design systems and component libraries.
  • Basic UX research and usability testing.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative tools.
  • Awareness of security best practices in front-end development.
  • Certifications in Angular or UX/UI design tools (preferred but not required).


Technical Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in front-end development and UX/UI design.
  • Strong proficiency in Angular (latest versions) and TypeScript.
  • Advanced knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
  • Proficiency in UX/UI design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch).
  • Understanding of user-centred design principles and usability best practices.
  • Familiarity with state management (NgRx or similar).
  • Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Portfolio showcasing design work and implemented projects.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Passion for continuous learning and adaptability to new technologies.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a team.
