Summary
This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA WHITE HOUSE COMMUNICATIONS AGENCY.

- Drafts and implements policies and local regulations for the accomplishment of Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and collateral information protection.
- Performs administrative and human resource management functions relative to the staff members supervised.
- Responsible for assessing, developing and implementing protective measures of sensitive or classified facilities and information to ensure the protection of personnel, equipment or other sensitive materials.
- Prepares Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) documentation for submission to accrediting officials.
- Applies agency or organizational regulations regarding the type of personal security check required (i.e., national agency check, special background investigation, etc.) and request an investigation from the appropriate investigative organization.

- This position has been identified as a Defense Security Position (DSP). Individuals occupying positions designated as DSPs are required to meet certification requirements of the Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Program.

Qualifying Experience
To qualify at the GG-14, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Developing, implementing, and managing coordinated security programs.
Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.**Combination of education and experience is not applicable for this position.**

- In accordance with DoD Manual 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification, this position has been identified as a Defense Security Position (DSP). Individuals occupying positions designated as DSPs are required to meet certification requirements of the Security Professional Education Development (SPēD) Program.
- The incumbent of this position is required to obtain and maintain Tier 1 Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC).
- Subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.
- A three-year trial period may be required if you have not previously completed a trial or probationary period in the excepted or competitive service.
- Individuals tentatively selected for drug testing designated positions at the Defense Information Systems Agency will be required to submit to urinalysis for illegal drugs prior to appointment or placement.
