Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Manager - Information Security Operations in Phoenix, AZ. Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Information Security Operations function, including oversight of Security Operations Center (SOC) activities and security operations personnel
- Develop, implement, and enhance cybersecurity operations strategies, processes, and incident response capabilities
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across security monitoring, threat detection, vulnerability management, and security operations
- Lead and mentor a team of security professionals, fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and service-oriented culture
- Partner with internal stakeholders to strengthen the organization's security posture and ensure alignment with business objectives
- Evaluate and implement security technologies, automation initiatives, and AI-driven capabilities to improve operational effectiveness
- Oversee relationships with external security service providers and managed security partners
- Establish and maintain security operations metrics, reporting, and performance measures
- Serve as a change agent by driving modernization efforts, challenging the status quo, and implementing innovative security solutions
- Collaborate with executive leadership to support strategic cybersecurity initiatives and risk management programs

- Bachelor's degree required
- Proven leadership experience managing an Information Security Operations function, including direct experience leading a Security Operations Center (SOC) team
- Strong background in cybersecurity operations, incident response, threat management, security monitoring, and vulnerability management
- Experience leading security analysts and building high-performing operational security teams
- Hands-on experience with security technologies such as SIEM, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, threat detection, and security monitoring platforms
- Experience with Rapid7 strongly preferred; Candidates with strong experience in comparable platforms such as Tenable and/or CrowdStrike will also be considered
- Experience leveraging AI, automation, and modern security technologies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to drive change, influence cross-functional teams, and deliver measurable results
- Must be willing to work onsite in Tempe, Arizona, with a hybrid schedule that includes regular in-office collaboration
- Candidates with stable leadership backgrounds in corporate environments are preferred; Heavy consulting or long-term contract-focused backgrounds are not the target profile
- Experience working in Microsoft-centric environments is a plus
