About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Frontend Engineer to join our remote team based in the United States. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the technical vision and development of our highly interactive web applications used by medical professionals globally. As a key member of our engineering team, you will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, scientists, and backend engineers to create intuitive, performant, and reliable interfaces that improve doctor experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in React development, a passion for technological innovation, and a desire to mentor others. This position involves strategic planning, problem-solving, and hands-on coding to turn our ambitious vision into reality, all while contributing to the growth and success of Sirona Medical.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in React development
- 2+ years of experience with JavaScript type systems such as TypeScript
- 1+ year of experience with GraphQL and/or VTK in production environments
- Experience with state management libraries such as Recoil, Redux, or MobX
- Knowledge of WebGL, D3.js, or Three.js is a plus
- Strong understanding of modern web development practices and tools
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment
- Experience mentoring or leading engineering teams is preferred
- Own and define the technical vision and strategy for building scalable, interactive web applications
- Lead cross-functional teams to solve complex, open-ended problems by designing reusable components and frameworks
- Create user interfaces that are simple, intuitive, performant, and reliable to ensure trustworthy doctor experiences
- Collaborate with backend and quality assurance teams to specify, develop, test, and deploy new features
- Participate in brainstorming sessions with product managers, designers, scientists, and go-to-market teams to define product features
- Translate product vision into actionable quarterly roadmaps in partnership with engineering and leadership teams
- Mentor and train junior engineers on best practices, coding standards, and design techniques to elevate team performance
- Gather requirements from product teams, provide feedback, and develop innovative solutions tailored to user needs
- Review, plan, and architect end-to-end technical solutions ensuring alignment with company goals
- Balance trade-offs between cost, complexity, and value to optimize product delivery
- Conduct code reviews and facilitate pair programming sessions to maintain high-quality code standards
- Implement and promote strong testing practices to prevent regressions and ensure stability
