Job Description

In this role, you will lead design efforts across complex software products, contributing to all stages of the user experience from ideation to execution. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to solve high-impact design challenges, improve usability, and drive the overall product vision. The position requires balancing hands-on design craft with strategic thinking, influencing both the product team and the broader organization. You will have the autonomy to shape design standards, establish best practices, and mentor other designers while working in a fast-growing, remote-first environment that values creativity, innovation, and high performance.
Accountabilities
- Lead and execute end-to-end product design across desktop and SaaS applications.
- Develop and maintain design systems, standards, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product vision, user flows, information architecture, and interaction patterns.
- Translate ambiguous requirements into actionable design solutions that balance user needs, technical feasibility, and business goals.
- Conduct design critiques, provide feedback, and mentor junior designers to strengthen team capabilities.
- Stay current with industry trends, user research insights, and emerging design patterns to inform product decisions.
- Influence product strategy through first-principles thinking and expert design judgment.
- 10+ years of product design experience, primarily in desktop SaaS environments.
- Expertise in UI, UX, layout, navigation, information architecture, and interaction design.
- Proven ability to break down complex, ambiguous projects into actionable tasks.
- Experience in influencing engineering, product, and company-wide design decisions.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and design intuition to solve usability challenges.
- Experience working in early-stage startups or as a solo designer on a team.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote environment.
- Bonus: Experience in building or refining design systems and establishing design standards across large products.
