🛠️ Linux Kernel Engineer – Camera & Embedded Specialization

📍 Location: Full remote or face-to-face position in the Alpes-Maritimes, according to the candidate's wishes

💼 Contract: permanent contract, Freelance or umbrella company

💰 Remuneration: 45k - 50k€ gross annual fixed or 450€ - 500€ ADR for the self-employed

📅 Start date: ASAP at 3 months maximum

🌍 Language: Very good level of English required

Context:

Faced with an increase in the number of projects around embedded and image processing, the team is strengthened with a profile specialized in low-level Linux development and the Kernel ecosystem.

The scope includes the integration of new platforms, work on hardware bring-up and driver development, with a strong focus on camera pipelines.

The environment is technical, structured, and focused on optimizing system performance.

Mission & field of intervention:

The position encompasses a set of activities related to the kernel, embedded and image/camera processing:

Low-level development:

• Design and maintenance of Linux Kernel components (drivers, low-level modules).

• Participation in hardware bring-up, bootloader, BSP and integration of new boards.

Camera & multimedia processing:

• Implementation, optimization and integration of camera pipelines on embedded platforms.

• Work on stability, bitrate, ISP tuning and image acquisition workflows.

Embedded system & diagnostics:

• Optimization of OS behavior, performance monitoring, long-term stability.

• Investigation and resolution of Kernel / Device Tree / hardware-interfaces anomalies.

Target profile:

The position is aimed at a senior profile who is familiar with embedded environments:

• Minimum 5 to 6 years of post-graduation experience in a similar role.
• Linux Kernel expertise on IoT / embedded platforms.
• Mastery bootloader, BSP, bring-up hardware.
• Strong experience around camera pipelines / camera drivers (required).
• Low-level Android skills (HAL, AOSP).
