About The Role

As a QA Engineer II at Outliant, you will serve as a key advocate for quality assurance, ensuring our digital products adhere to the highest standards of functionality, reliability, and security. You will utilize your expertise in testing methodologies to design, execute, and automate comprehensive test plans. Your role involves navigating established testing routines while proactively addressing new challenges and unforeseen issues that may arise during the development lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify defects, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a mid-level QA professional to grow their skills in automation, performance testing, security, and team mentorship within a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 4 years of experience as a QA Engineer
  • Proven experience in software development lifecycles (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Experience with test automation using at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java)
  • Experience with API testing tools and frameworks such as Postman and Rest Assured
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for troubleshooting complex issues
  • Background in Web Application and API Testing
  • Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, Lighthouse, or similar
  • Basic understanding of UI/UX testing principles and practices
  • Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in the EST timezone

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive test plans and strategies aligned with project requirements, technical specifications, user needs, and risk assessments
  • Execute test cases using manual and automated testing techniques to identify defects and verify software functionality, reliability, and performance across all user journeys
  • Develop and maintain basic automated test scripts, working under the guidance of experienced engineers to enhance testing efficiency
  • Maintain high attention to detail to detect even minor issues
  • Analyze test results to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement, providing recommendations to prevent recurrence of issues
  • Own and architect the regression testing process, ensuring existing features remain unaffected by new code changes, and optimize regression testing strategies
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using bug tracking systems such as ClickUp, collaborating with development teams for timely resolution
  • Effectively communicate issues and collaborate with developers to facilitate resolution
  • Generate detailed test result reports, present findings to stakeholders, and assist in maintaining the project knowledge base
  • Participate in analyzing current testing processes and suggest improvements under supervision
  • Lead or actively participate in performance and security testing activities, assessing software scalability and security vulnerabilities
  • Manage and maintain complex test environments that mimic production conditions, implementing automation and optimization strategies
  • Support senior team members in monitoring project progress and quality, escalating critical issues as needed
  • Lead knowledge sharing sessions and mentor junior QA engineers to foster a collaborative learning environment
  • Develop training materials and contribute to enhancing the team’s QA practices
