About The Role
We are seeking an exceptional Lead QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and expanding our Automated QA Environment, ensuring the reliability and robustness of our platform across all supported surfaces. As a key leader in quality assurance, you will design, develop, and maintain comprehensive testing frameworks that verify the functionality and stability of our products. Your expertise will help us deliver a seamless experience to our customers, regardless of their environment or budget constraints. Qualifications
- Proven experience as a senior Software Engineer or Lead QA Engineer
- Extensive experience with Automated QA in web browsers and robotics platforms
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, and Rust (or a willingness to learn Rust)
- Solid understanding of software testing principles and automation frameworks
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, especially in remote team environments
- Experience mentoring or leading engineering teams
- Familiarity with AI, LLMs, and emerging testing technologies is a plus
- Passion for innovation and continuous learning in the field of software engineering
- Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for the platform across different surfaces, including browser-based (TS+React), desktop (Go+Rust), and embedded systems (Go+Rust)
- Establish foundational automated QA testing processes, including writing initial integration tests and mentoring team members
- Develop and optimize testing workflows to facilitate automation and improve overall QA efficiency
- Ensure the platform delivers a reliable and dependable experience for all users in various settings and budgets
- Stay informed about the latest trends and technologies in QA, AI, and robotics testing, and incorporate relevant innovations into our processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, improve product quality, and implement best practices
- Contribute to strategic planning for QA automation and testing coverage expansion
