Senior Backend Engineer (Java) - High-Throughput Financial Systems

Location: UAE (Dubai/Abu Dhabi) for relocation - Hybrid

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with deep experience in Java and high-throughput financial systems. If you’ve built or scaled backend infrastructure for exchanges, trading platforms, or DeFi products. This role sits at the forefront of next-generation digital asset technology.

You’ll be joining a fast-growing fintech building advanced infrastructure for decentralised finance. Their engineering culture is technical, ambitious, and focused on delivering secure, high-throughput systems used in real financial environments.

What We’re Hiring

We’re looking for someone with:

• 5+ years’ backend engineering experience (ideally crypto, exchanges, DeFi, or high-volume fintech).
• Expert-level Java and experience designing scalable, distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Experience with cloud platforms and containerisation (AWS/GCP/Azure, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of security best practices, KYC/AML, and financial compliance.
• Familiarity with blockchain integrations is a plus.
