Job Description


Overview Of The Role

Our payments technology client is seeking a highly skilled Motion Designer to join a dynamic experience design team. This role focuses on creating compelling motion graphics and animations that bring product stories to life for customer-facing initiatives. You will collaborate with designers, stakeholders, and cross-functional partners to develop visually engaging content for product launches, announcements, and events. Applicants must provide a demo reel or portfolio showcasing motion design and animation work.

The Basics

  • Location: Fully remote; Manager based in San Jose, CA hub (PST)
  • Duration: 6 months, possibility to extend
  • Hours per Week: 40 hours

Top 3 Required Qualifications

  • Expertise in Motion Design & Animation Principles - Strong sense of timing, rhythm, and visual storytelling. Versatility in working across multiple styles, including 2D, 3D, and illustrative approaches.
  • Advanced Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite - Especially After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • At least 6-8 Years of Professional Experience - In a design-led company, creative agency, or in-house creative environment. Ability to work quickly and efficiently under tight deadlines.

Other Qualifications

  • Experience with Figma for design collaboration.
  • Strong composition and design sensibilities.
  • Familiarity with 3D software (Cinema 4D or Maya) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of video editing tools such as Premiere or Final Cut Pro.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, motion graphics, interaction design, or related field.
