Our Milwaukee-based agency client is seeking a hands-on Creative Director, Design + Copy to support an upcoming campaign for a leading brand in the footwear category.
This role is
- Fully remote
- Roughly 10 hours/week
- Project based with potential to extend
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in consumer brands, understands how creative influences customer behavior throughout the buyer journey, and has experience producing performance-driven campaign assets for digital and paid media channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creative development and execution of integrated marketing campaign assets from concept through final delivery.
- Write compelling, on-brand copy for static advertisements, campaign headlines, social media content, and video assets.
- Develop messaging that resonates with target consumers and aligns with brand positioning, campaign objectives, and channel-specific best practices.
- Design and produce all static campaign deliverables, including paid social ads, display units, digital banners, landing page assets, and other supporting creative.
- Collaborate closely with the Account Manager, Project Manager, and Lead Video Editor to ensure cohesive storytelling and campaign consistency across all touchpoints.
- Translate marketing goals, audience insights, and performance objectives into impactful creative concepts.
- Ensure all creative assets are optimized for engagement, conversion, and overall campaign performance.
- Maintain brand standards while introducing fresh, innovative creative approaches that drive results.
- Present creative recommendations and rationale to internal stakeholders and incorporate feedback efficiently.
- Balance strategic creative thinking with hands-on production work in a fast-paced agency environment.

Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in creative leadership, art direction, copywriting, or integrated creative roles within an agency, brand, or marketing environment.
- Proven experience developing creative campaigns for consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands; footwear, apparel, fashion, or lifestyle category experience strongly preferred.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating both copywriting and design capabilities.
- Deep understanding of the customer journey and consumer decision-making behaviors across awareness, consideration, and conversion stages.
- Experience creating high-performing creative specifically for paid media channels, including social, display, and digital advertising platforms.
- Ability to develop strategic creative concepts and personally execute assets at a high level.
- Strong knowledge of current digital marketing, social media, and performance marketing best practices.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
- Proficiency with industry-standard creative tools, including Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant design platforms.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while partnering effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with footwear, athletic, outdoor, fashion, or adjacent lifestyle brands.
- Background developing creative informed by audience insights, performance metrics, and campaign analytics.
- Familiarity with video scripting, storyboarding, and integrated creative campaigns spanning multiple digital channels.
- Agency experience managing multiple stakeholders and competing priorities under tight timelines.
