Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Contract)
Initial Term: Until end of May 2026
Rate: £650pd (Inside iR35 if UK based)
Location: Fully remote
Digitech are partnered with a globally recognised tech brand, HQ in London, with unicorn status, who are looking for a Senior ML Engineer with strong product environment experience to support ranking and recommendation systems. You’ll work across carousel ranking, reinforcement learning model launches, and 4–5 production ML models. Most core builds are complete—you’ll focus on experimentation, optimisation, and model/pipeline improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and optimise ML pipelines and production models.
- Add new features via the feature store and tune model parameters offline/online.
- Run experiments, analyses, and A/B tests on ranking algorithms.
- Support launch and optimisation of a new reinforcement learning model.
- Deliver ranking improvements and new carousel launches.
- Collaborate across modelling and production-focused ML team.
Required Experience:
- Strong ML engineering background in product-led environments.
- Experience with feature stores and TensorFlow models.
- DBT experience for ETL workflows.
- Hands-on with ranking/recommendation systems.
- Strong Python and ML pipeline ownership experience.
- Familiar with online/offline experimentation
