Dynatrace Engineer - Operations Systems
Contract - $50 - $65/hour W2

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dynatrace Engineer to join our team. This pivotal role is responsible for driving the adoption and effectiveness of our monitoring solutions, ensuring high availability and optimal performance across our IT infrastructure and applications. The ideal candidate will leverage Dynatrace expertise to develop proactive monitoring, enhance observability, and support rapid root cause analysis in a complex technical environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- The Dynatrace Engineer will perform day-to-day monitoring and engineering tasks, including:
- Monitor systems and actively develop solutions to detect performance and availability issues before they escalate and impact end-users.
- Design, develop, test, and implement robust monitoring solutions within the Dynatrace platform.
- Diagnose and resolve monitoring-related issues to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the observability tools.
- Collaborate closely with internal customers and stakeholders to gather precise monitoring requirements and define success metrics.
- Develop and maintain visually intuitive dashboards using Grafana and Dynatrace to provide clear visibility into system health and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Work with internal customers to help them effectively leverage the capabilities of Dynatrace, maximizing the value derived from the tool.
- Participate in Major Incident (MI) discovery and resolution, which may include responsibilities outside of standard business hours.
Qualifications and Experience
- The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of dedicated experience in Dynatrace Application Performance Monitoring (APM).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred. Other similar degrees or equivalent professional experience will be considered.
- Scripting and/or software development experience.
- Experience with Cloud Monitoring practices and technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Dynatrace logging tools.
- Experience with DevOps code repository platforms (GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket).
- Understanding of container-based technologies, including Kubernetes.
- Prior experience with Monitoring-as-Code principles and implementation.
- Working knowledge of ServiceNow and experience with PagerDuty.
