About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer to join our dynamic team at Tixr. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality, functionality, and reliability of our cutting-edge live event technology platform. Reporting directly to the Head of QA, you will collaborate closely with the CTO, software developers, designers, product managers, sales teams, and client service teams to deliver high-caliber products that meet the needs of our influential clients.

This position offers extensive autonomy, allowing you to explore innovative testing strategies, automate processes, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. As a key member of our growing team, you will play a vital role in defining and executing comprehensive QA strategies, conducting end-to-end testing, and championing quality practices across the organization. Your work will directly impact the seamless experience of millions of users attending live events worldwide, making this a unique opportunity to be part of a transformative company in the live entertainment industry.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Quality Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, best practices, and the software development lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to create, maintain, and execute comprehensive end-to-end manual and automated test suites across web and mobile platforms.
  • Hands-on experience in Agile Scrum environments and working with tools such as JIRA, or similar.
  • Proficient in debugging and observability tools for both desktop and mobile environments.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; thrives in fast-paced environments.
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies and frameworks.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities and projects concurrently.
  • Highly proactive, collaborative, and results-driven.
  • Exceptional communication and documentation skills with acute attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Define and Drive QA Strategy: Design and implement scalable, maintainable automated test strategies that span across manual and automated functional testing on web, mobile, and API platforms. Utilize modern tools and frameworks to enable early defect detection.
  • Hands-On End-to-End Testing: Conduct comprehensive functional testing across web, mobile, and APIs. Validate complete user workflows from frontend to backend, ensuring seamless integration, data flow, and system behavior across platforms and environments.
  • Own Automated Test Coverage: Develop, maintain, and scale automated test suites to cover critical user journeys and edge cases, enhancing test reliability and coverage.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with developers, product managers, UX designers, and finance teams to clarify acceptance criteria, define testing requirements, and embed quality checks early in the development process. Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies such as stand-ups, planning, and grooming sessions.
  • Diagnose Issues: Investigate bugs and system inconsistencies with precision, documenting detailed reproduction steps, impact analysis, and resolution recommendations.
  • Elevate QA Practices: Continuously improve QA tools, processes, and reporting mechanisms. Identify gaps, propose enhancements, and promote best practices across the team.
  • Lead by Example: Share QA best practices, coding standards, and automation strategies to foster a culture of continuous learning and quality excellence. Provide guidance through test plan reviews, pair testing, and knowledge sharing sessions.
  • Champion a Quality-First Culture: Advocate for shared responsibility for product quality across engineering, product, and customer success teams, fostering a mindset of excellence.
  • Stay Curious: Deepen understanding of Tixr’s product ecosystem, architecture, and user flows. Proactively identify opportunities to improve product quality, both technically and from a user experience perspective, offering data-driven suggestions for enhancements.
