Job Description
GCP Cloud Engineer – $100/hr – Fully Remote (US Only)
Initial 2-Month Contract + 12-Month Extension Planned
Coltech is partnering with a major project, supporting a fully GCP-built platform focused on processing and analysing student transcript data. The long-term vision is to move the platform toward GenAI-driven application development, so this role is ideal for someone who wants to work at the forefront of AI on Google Cloud.
We are looking for a GCP Cloud Architect who can help define the technical direction of the platform while remaining hands-on with code and engineering best practices.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for:
- Acting as the application architect, defining the cloud architecture and technical direction
- Working closely with client architects and engineers to meet technical and integration requirements
- Estimating story complexity for application platform development
- Contributing to code and conducting code reviews
- Supporting the roadmap toward GenAI-based application development on GCP
Requirements
- Must be based in the USA
- Must be a Green Card holder or US Citizen
- Strong GCP engineering + architecture experience
- Comfortable building scalable cloud solutions and contributing to code
- Interest or experience in GenAI on GCP is a major plus
Contract Details
- Rate: $100 per hour
- Location: Fully remote (US only)
- Duration: 2-month initial contract, planned 12-month extension
