Job Description
A large global organization are looking to hire a Ping Engineer who would be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise identity and access management (IAM) solutions using Ping Identity products. This role focuses on building secure authentication, authorization, single sign-on (SSO) and federation services.
This will be an initial 2 months contract with the possibility of extensions.
The role can be worked 100% remote from the US.
Key Responsibilities/Skills:
- Design, configure, implement, and maintain PingFederate, PingID, PingAccess, and related Ping Identity components.
- Develop and manage authentication flows, identity federation, SSO, MFA, OAuth, OIDC, and SAML integrations.
- Build and maintain custom adapters, authentication policies, token mappings, and identity bridges.
- Configure identity providers (IdP) and service providers (SP) for internal and external applications.
- Integrate PingFederate with cloud platforms (Azure AD, AWS, GCP), SaaS applications, and legacy systems.
- Troubleshoot SSO, MFA, federation, and authentication issues across environments.
- Develop automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines for IAM deployments.
- Proven experience in IAM engineering or identity security roles.
- Hands-on experience with PingFederate, PingID, PingAccess, or similar identity platforms.
- Strong understanding of IAM protocols: SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, WS-Fed, SCIM.
- Experience integrating identity services with cloud and on-prem applications.
- Solid understanding of authentication, MFA, federation, and zero-trust principles.
- Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash) and automation tools.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with logs, packet captures, and SSO debugging.
Preferred:
- Ping Identity certifications (PingFederate, PingID, PingAccess).
- Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with modern security frameworks (NIST, Zero Trust, CIS).
