Position Overview
The Web Designer will play a key role in building and maintaining client websites by combining strong graphic design expertise with technical WordPress skills. This role requires someone who can design engaging visuals, populate and customize websites, and ensure seamless functionality through HTML, CSS, and plugins. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and able to balance aesthetics with technical requirements to deliver polished and responsive websites on time. Knowledge of email marketing platforms like Mailchimp and Constant Contact is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Design visually engaging and user-friendly website layouts, graphics, and digital assets
- Populate and manage websites using WordPress, including installing/configuring plugins, customizing themes, and maintaining site content
- Implement and modify designs using HTML, CSS, and basic PHP/JavaScript when needed
- Ensure websites are responsive, optimized, and aligned with branding and client requirements
- Collaborate with developers and project managers to ensure timely delivery of client projects
- Troubleshoot and resolve design or layout issues
- Proven experience as a Web Designer or WordPress Designer
- Strong graphic design skills with a keen eye for layout, color, and typography
- Knowledge and experience in design tools (e.g., Photoshop, Canva, Adobe XD, Illustrator, Figma, or similar)
- Expert knowledge of WordPress, including plugins, themes, and site population
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and familiarity with PHP and JavaScript is a plus
- Solid understanding of responsive web design and user experience principles
- Attention to detail and ability to deliver clean, polished work
- Strong communication and time management skills; able to work independently on multiple projects
- Familiarity with email marketing tools such as Mailchimp or Constant Contact is a plus
- Experience in digital marketing or SEO basics is desirable

- Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 11pm-8am or Tuesday-Saturday, 12am-9am
