React Native Developer Internship (Remote – Part-Time, Unpaid)

Vibes Meet LLC is seeking a motivated React Native Developer Intern to join our team. This is a part-time, unpaid internship (4 hours per day, Monday to Friday), providing an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in mobile app development for iOS and Android.

You will work directly with the Founder/CEO and our development team on VibesMeet.com, a social networking platform that has been in development for the past three years. This role is ideal for aspiring mobile developers looking to work on real-world projects while balancing other commitments.

🚀 Upon securing investment (expected this year), there will be opportunities for paid roles.

Key Responsibilities

📱 Mobile App Development

✅ Assist in developing and maintaining React Native mobile applications for iOS and Android.

✅ Work on creating a smooth, performant, and responsive UI/UX.

✅ Optimize app performance by reducing load times, fixing memory leaks, and implementing best practices.

🛠️ API Integration & Backend Communication

✅ Integrate the app with Django backend and AWS cloud services.

✅ Work with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and third-party services.

✅ Implement real-time features using WebSockets or Firebase.

🚀 Deployment & Maintenance

✅ Assist in publishing and maintaining mobile apps on the Apple App Store & Google Play Store.

✅ Learn and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments.

✅ Monitor app performance, debug issues, and contribute to improvements.

🔒 Security & Scalability

✅ Implement authentication (OAuth, JWT, Firebase Auth).

✅ Follow secure coding practices to protect user data and app integrity.

🤝 Collaboration & Learning

✅ Work closely with senior developers, product managers, and designers.

✅ Participate in weekly check-ins, sprint planning, and code reviews.

✅ Gain exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and real-world development workflows.

Required Qualifications

🌟 Technical Skills

✔ Basic experience in React Native and Expo development.

✔ Understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, and Redux.

✔ Familiarity with React Navigation and Gesture Handling.

✔ Knowledge of REST APIs, Axios, Fetch, or GraphQL.

✔ Eagerness to learn state management (Redux, Context API, Zustand, etc.).

✔ Basic knowledge of publishing apps on the App Store & Play Store (bonus but not required).

💡 Bonus Skills (Not Required but Nice to Have)

✔ Experience with Django (Python) backend.

✔ AWS knowledge (EC2, S3, Lambda, Cognito, Amplify).

✔ Familiarity with Web3, AI/ML, or blockchain technologies.

✔ Basic knowledge of React.js for web development.

Internship Details

📍 Location: Fully Remote

⏳ Hours: Part-time (4 hours/day, Monday to Friday)

💰 Compensation: Unpaid (Opportunities for paid roles after funding is secured in 2025).
