About the Project
We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / Application Migration Consultant to lead a large-scale application containerization and migration project to a Kubernetes-based environment.
The consultant will assess around 60 enterprise applications, design a containerization roadmap, and guide the implementation aligned with SRE and cloud-native best practices.
This is a strategic role focused on architecture, automation, and collaboration with internal dev teams to enable scalable, secure, and reliable deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze existing applications and define their migration readiness for Kubernetes.
- Develop and implement containerization strategies using Docker, Helm, GitLab CI, and GitOps workflows.
- Ensure robust security, compliance, and secrets management (Vault, Trivy, Kyverno).
- Design Kubernetes configurations (HPA, network policies, API Gateway).
- Set up monitoring dashboards and resource consumption reports with Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenCost.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure knowledge transfer and post-migration sustainability.
- Produce technical documentation and deliver training sessions for developers and ops teams.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Kubernetes architecture, containerization, and migration projects.
- Strong background in SRE or DevOps with cloud-native tools and CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on knowledge of: Docker, Helm, GitLab CI/CD, Vault, Harbor, Trivy, Kyverno, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenCost, API Gateway.
- Excellent understanding of microservices architecture, security best practices, and automation.
- Strong communication and documentation skills — ability to collaborate across distributed teams.
- (Nice to have) Certifications such as CKA / CKAD or prior experience in modernization of legacy systems.
