Technical Lead – Environments
We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to join the Environments Work Stream. This team is responsible for the design, build, integration, and deployment of environments used across multiple domains.
As the Technical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in defining and leading the strategy, design, and automation of environments that are scalable, secure, performant, and compliant. You will work across multiple cross-functional teams, aligning efforts and driving standardisation and automation to deliver an end-to-end, world-class environment experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, engineering, and integration of environments across compute, storage, network, and software layers.
- Implement and drive environment automation to enable self-service capabilities and reduce manual processes.
- Provide strategic and tactical leadership across multiple cross-functional engineering teams.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to align technical direction and operational outcomes across diverse infrastructure landscapes.
- Act as the technical authority and escalation point for complex environment issues.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience designing, building, and integrating environments in large, distributed systems or enterprise-scale programs.
- Background in infrastructure engineering and automation network domains.
- Strong understanding of network architecture, integration, and operations.
- Experience with Python automation.
- Knowledge of Prometheus, Opensearch/Elastic, and Grafana for observability and monitoring.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure as code, automation frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in leading and mentoring multiple cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
- Experience in Telecommunications environments or working with telecom infrastructure.
- Familiarity with NetBox (network source of truth) and Itential would be a bonus.
