Accountabilities:
- Perform civil engineering design tasks under general supervision, including preparing plan details, cost estimates, and technical specifications
- Review and approve design drawings for ITS, lighting, and signalization projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
- Prepare technical reports to communicate project information to clients and stakeholders
- Conduct field tests, measurements, and data collection, using software to present findings
- Assist project teams or managers in developing contract design plans, calculations, and engineering documentation
- Coordinate with other engineers to complete project deliverables on time and with minimal oversight
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil engineering roadway design, with proficiency in ITS, lighting, and signalization
- Knowledge of transportation technology systems, including CCTV, vehicle detection systems (microwave, Bluetooth), dynamic message signs, fiber optic communications, lighting photometric analysis, and signalization plans
- Proficiency with engineering software such as MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, GuideSIGN, and AGI32
- Strong organizational, teamwork, and communication skills
- Ability to work up to 100% remotely, with occasional site visits or in-person meetings as required
