Job Description
Workana Premium is partnering with AfterQuery, a YC-backed AI research lab. This is a part-time, project-based opportunity where you'll contribute to the training of cutting-edge AI models by designing and documenting real-world engineering tasks.

AfterQuery is a research lab investigating the boundaries of artificial intelligence by advancing model capabilities. They are backed by top investors including Y Combinator, Box Group, ex-partners from Lightspeed and Index Ventures, and senior leadership from Google DeepMind and Meta GenAI. Their philosophy: great AI comes from exceptional, human-generated data.
If your profile matches the requirements, you'll be invited to complete a technical assessment. This step is the only evaluation in the process and is designed to confirm your technical skills and ability to contribute to AI training projects.
Candidates who pass will be added to the AfterQuery Experts network and will start receiving project-based work.

- Design multi-step software engineering tasks (e.g., debugging, refactoring, build automation, data processing)
- Write deterministic test suites and solutions
- Containerize tasks with Docker for consistency and reproducibility
- Document tasks with clear instructions, objectives, and requirements
- Proficiency with Linux/Unix command-line tools and Bash scripting
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience with Docker and containerized development
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Go, Rust, or C++)
- Based in Latin America
- Familiarity with build tools (Make, CMake, npm, Cargo, Gradle, etc.)
- Experience troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines
- Exposure to multiple languages (Python, Go, Rust, C/C++)
If your profile matches the requirements, you'll be invited to complete a technical assessment (about 1 hour and 10 minutes). This step is the only evaluation in the process and is designed to confirm your technical skills.
Benefits
