About the Role 📝
The Senior Backend Engineer will design, develop, and scale backend systems for AI-driven applications. This role requires strong technical skills, creativity, and collaboration. The ideal candidate excels in fast-paced environments, solves complex problems, and delivers clean, scalable code for both research and production. You’ll work closely with backend, product, and frontend teams to build efficient, secure, and growth-ready infrastructure.

💡 Role and Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver AI and platform features from concept to production
- Implement and optimize DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated monitoring
- Contribute to system design decisions, performance tuning, and capacity planning for evolving workloads
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in distributed systems while ensuring minimal downtime
- Champion best practices in coding, testing, documentation, and security across the engineering team
📌 Skills and Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in backend development roles, ideally in high-growth or research-driven environments
- Strong proficiency in Python and Django, with proven ability to design robust APIs and services
- Hands-on DevOps experience: CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, observability, and automation
- Proficiency with AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.); Azure or GCP knowledge is a plus
- Experience working with large language models (LLMs) or AI/ML pipelines is a significant advantage
- Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and ability to thrive both independently and in collaborative teams
