About The Role
The Lead QA Engineer at eXp Realty plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products that align with business objectives and meet user expectations. This position involves developing and executing comprehensive quality assurance strategies within our rapid two-week release cycles. The Lead QA Engineer will be responsible for leading testing efforts, implementing automation and AI-driven testing solutions, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Support. The role emphasizes scalability, reliability, and user experience, requiring a proactive approach to defect analysis, environment readiness, and continuous process improvements. As a leader within the QA team, this individual will also mentor junior engineers, drive innovation in testing methodologies, and contribute to the overall quality culture of the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field (preferred)
- High School diploma or GED (required)
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
- Proficiency with Agile/Scrum methodologies and rapid release cycles
- Hands-on experience with Jira, test case management tools, and AI-driven test generation solutions
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and recommend effective solutions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a customer service-oriented mindset
- Experience supporting technology products in the real estate industry (preferred but not mandatory)
- Proven ability to work effectively in remote, distributed team environments
- High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed test plans and test cases based on user stories, acceptance criteria, and product specifications
- Identify opportunities for automation and AI integration to enhance testing efficiency and coverage
- Conduct functional, regression, and integration testing within agile sprint cycles
- Partner with developers to analyze, reproduce, and troubleshoot defects, ensuring timely resolution
- Maintain and prepare test environments, data sets, and release validation processes for continuous delivery
- Lead and mentor junior QA engineers, providing technical guidance and onboarding support
- Collaborate with Production Support teams to investigate post-release issues and implement lessons learned
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in testing methodologies, documentation, and quality practices
- Promote the adoption of AI tools and innovative testing solutions to optimize QA processes
