Job Description
Fully Remote Contractor position.
6 months initially with extension highly likely.
The role:
- Architect and implement sophisticated, automated CI/CD pipelines for a variety of application workloads, enabling rapid and reliable software delivery.
- Design, build, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, primarily with Terraform.
- Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Docker, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Champion and integrate security best practices (DevSecOps) into the SDLC, including vulnerability scanning, identity and access management (IAM), and network security configurations.
Things that will make you stand out:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in a Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or DevOps role.
- Deep expertise in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem, including GKE, Cloud Build, Cloud Run, IAM, and VPC networking.
- Mastery of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with a strong command of Terraform.
- Proven experience with containerization (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Demonstrable experience building and operating robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like Cloud Build, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Bash for automation tasks.
- Problem solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Nice to Have:
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect certification.
