Job Title: Mobile Java Software Engineer
Monthly Remuneration - 1 million Naira monthly (slightly negotiable)
Accommodation is available for the first 3 months for candidates outside Abuja.
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Senior Backend- Java Developer with expertise in Natty, Vertex, and Spring Boot to join the growing team of our client in Abuja. This is an onsite role with a competitive relocation package for the right candidate. You will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance backend systems that support cutting-edge applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java, Natty, Vertex, and Spring Boot.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and development roadmaps.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that adheres to best practices.
Integrate backend systems with databases, APIs, and other third-party services.
Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
Debug and resolve complex technical issues in production and development environments.
Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and consistency.
Document technical specifications, processes, and system architecture.
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in backend development using Java, Natty, Vertex, and Spring Boot.
Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud-based systems.
Proficiency with database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
Solid understanding of multithreading, asynchronous programming, and event-driven systems.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred:
Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Exposure to frontend technologies (e.g., React, Angular) is a plus.
