Cloud & DevOps AWS Engineer (Outside IR35 – UK Only, Remote)
Senior & Principal Consultant Opportunities
A leading UK-based cloud consultancy is looking for experienced Cloud & DevOps Engineers with strong AWS expertise to join its remote-first delivery team.
Recognised for technical excellence and strategic insight, this consultancy partners with enterprise clients to solve complex challenges across cloud platforms, data, AI, and automation. You’ll play a key role in designing, automating, and optimising scalable, secure, and resilient AWS environments supporting both greenfield builds and legacy transformation projects.
Principal Consultants will also provide technical leadership, mentoring, and strategic guidance across multiple engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement infrastructure automation using Terraform/OpenTofu across AWS.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows for scalable, reliable deployments.
- Develop automation scripts and tooling (Python, Bash, PowerShell) to streamline operations.
- Implement monitoring and observability solutions (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Support container orchestration (EKS/ECS) and serverless workloads (Lambda, API Gateway).
- (Principal level) Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and strategic input across teams and projects.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience working with AWS and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/OpenTofu).
- Strong background in CI/CD pipeline design and GitOps practices.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, and PowerShell for automation and scripting.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Knowledge of EKS, ECS, and AWS serverless services.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Leadership or mentoring experience (for Principal-level applicants).
