IT Operations Manager - 4-5 month fixed term contract!

Fixed-term contract (FT or PT) | Backfill for long service leave | Open to 3-4 days if preferred

We’re seeking a proactive and experienced IT Operations Manager to lead a team of 8-10 for a NFP organisation. You will look after things like a critical site relocation and infrastructure/applications upgrade projects. The client is looking for an ASAP start.

This fixed-term role, running until March 2026, is ideal for someone on the market, available immediately and able to hit the ground running!

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee IT operations during a major site relocation, ensuring continuity of services and minimal disruption to clinical and administrative functions.
• Manage hardware and software upgrades, coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure compatibility, performance, and compliance.
• Lead day-to-day IT service delivery, infrastructure support, and incident response in a sensitive mental health environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align IT services with organisational needs and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain documentation, reporting, and governance processes to support audit readiness and operational transparency.
• Provide leadership and guidance to IT support staff, fostering a culture of reliability, care, and responsiveness.
  
  

About You

• Proven experience in IT operations management, ideally within healthcare, government, or similarly sensitive environments.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure, service delivery, and vendor coordination.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a calm and methodical approach.
