A fast-growing technology-led company in the housing management sector is seeking a UI/UX Engineer to help design and build intuitive, service-based web and mobile applications. This is an exciting opportunity for a designer who loves turning complex workflows into seamless, human-centred digital experiences.


The role

You’ll own the end-to-end design process – from research and wireframing through to front-end implementation – ensuring every product interaction feels simple, accessible, and engaging. Working closely with developers and product teams, you’ll bridge design and engineering to deliver modern, responsive interfaces.


Key responsibilities

  • Conduct user research, testing, and analysis to guide design decisions.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
  • Develop responsive front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (React, Angular, or Vue).
  • Maintain and evolve design systems, reusable components, and style guides.
  • Ensure designs meet usability and accessibility (WCAG) standards.
  • Optimise front-end performance and user interactions across platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align design intent with development.


Requirements

  • 2+ years’ commercial experience designing for web and mobile applications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, HCI, or a related field.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing UX research, wireframes, and UI design work.
  • Proficiency in Figma or similar design tools.
  • Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS (SASS/LESS), and JavaScript frameworks.
  • Experience with performance optimisation and responsive design.
  • Understanding of accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Familiarity with version control tools such as Git or Azure DevOps.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
