The Role

​

KPMG is currently seeking a Solutions Architect to join our growing Digital & IT Consultancy practice. This role is critical to our mission of helping clients design and implement robust, secure, and future-ready technology solutions that deliver tangible business value.

Responsibilities

​

• Lead the design and development of innovative technical solutions for clients across various industries.
• Develop architecture blueprints covering infrastructure, application, data, and integration layers.
• Evaluate, select, and recommend best-fit off-the-shelf software packages (e.g., ERP, CRMs, etc) or bespoke development approaches based on business needs.
• Design robust integration solutions connecting diverse systems and applications.
• Define and implement modern data architectures, covering data extraction, transformation, storage, analytics, and reporting.
• Champion best practices in secure design, including identity & access management, data privacy, and compliance requirements.
• Establish frameworks for system/application monitoring, controls, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, developers, and client stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals and technical feasibility.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and methodologies (cloud, microservices, DevOps, AI, big data) and guide clients on how to leverage them effectively.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and consultants within the team.

Requirements​

• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or in a similar senior technical design role within a consultancy or complex enterprise environment.
• Demonstrable track record in designing and delivering enterprise-grade solutions spanning infrastructure, packaged software (ERP, CRM, finance systems), bespoke applications, and integrations.
• Deep understanding of modern data architectures, including data warehousing, ETL pipelines, big data technologies, unstructured data repositories, and reporting/BI tools.
• Strong knowledge of integration patterns and technologies (APIs, ESBs, ETL tools).
• Solid grasp of security principles, risk management, and governance frameworks within digital solutions.
• Experience implementing system and application monitoring, logging, and control frameworks.
• Familiarity with modern methodologies such as Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Data Engineer, etc.).
• Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with modern tools and platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Terraform, data lake technologies, AI/ML platforms).
• Background in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare) is a plus.​
