Role: Data Solution Architect (MS Fabric)

Duration: 6 months + Possible extension

Location: 100% remote EU

Capacity: 5 days a week

Job Description:

The Data Solution Architect will support the design of scalable, secure, and high-quality data solutions, working closely with IT and business stakeholders to align architecture with strategic priorities such as data ingestion, domain modelling, governance, and advanced analytics, with a strong focus on business value.

Responsibilities:

• Design end-to-end data architecture including ingestion, storage, governance, and consumption layers.
• Develop ingestion pipelines for heterogeneous sources ensuring data quality and consistency.
• Support definition and implementation of business-driven data domains and data products.
• Implement governance practices including lineage, metadata management, and quality controls.
• Enable self-service analytics using modern BI tools.
• Collaborate with business and IT to align technical solutions with business priorities.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Data Product Owners and Data Engineers.

Tech skills:

• Modern architectures: Data Lakehouse, Data Mesh, Data Fabric.
• Cloud platforms: Microsoft Fabric including Synapse.
• ETL/ELT tools: Azure Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines.
• Governance and cataloging: Microsoft Purview, RBAC, lineage tools.
• BI and analytics: Power BI, integration with AI/GenAI tools.
• Data modeling: domaindriven design, data product development.
• Security and compliance: access controls, risk management.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years in Data Architect or Solution Architect roles in enterprise environments.
• Experience in data modernization and self-service analytics projects.
• Familiarity with Data as-a-Product methodologies and AI/GenAI enablement.
