Venture Up are working with one of the fastest growing travel tech companies in the world and they are looking for a Data Engineer to join their team in Munich.
- You will be part of the Data Engineering team in the Business Intelligence department. The team is responsible for creating, maintaining and refining the core data pipeline tools, including the Data Warehouse and Data Lake, and to support some core pipelines on top of that. Your team will support the organization to answer all its data need.
- Your team will consist of 4 data engineers.
- You will take on the responsibility to create of enabling a DataMesh based approach to support different teams in leveraging the data to create data driven applications.
The successful candidate will have:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience building and implementing Lakehouse architectures in AWS or other similar setups.
- Effectively build batch and streaming data pipelines using technologies such as Airflow, DBT, Redshift, Athena/Presto, Firehose, Spark, SQL databases and similar technologies
- Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, Java, Kotlin, or similar languages.
- Previous experience in Data Governance is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and align technical solutions with business objectives.
