Project Overview:
- Our Customer is the European R&D centre for the biggest world-leading brands. Together, we will work on a new electric mobility technology and solutions that aim to satisfy the global demand for premium electric vehicles.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of professional experience in Android development
- Proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale Android applications in Kotlin
- Deep understanding of Android SDKs, architecture components, and mobile design patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture, etc.)
- Experience in architecting business-critical and integration-heavy applications
- Proficiency in guiding the full mobile development lifecycle
- Strong ability to articulate complex technical challenges and solutions
- Self-driven, highly organised, and capable of leading technical initiatives
- Experience with Embedded Automotive systems
- Hands-on experience working with Map SDKs and Navigation solutions
- Solid experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
- Experience in tools like Jira, Confluence
- Excellent communication skills in English (Upper-Intermediate level or higher)
Will be a plus:
- Experience in developing Android apps for automotive Head Units
- Prior experience leading or mentoring engineering teams
- Familiarity with reactive programming (Kotlin Coroutines/Flow)
Responsibilities:
- Define and lead the architecture of complex Android applications using Kotlin
- Guide and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code
- Design business-critical features and integration components
- Lead architectural and design discussions across teams, including product, UX, and backend
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers on best practices and architectural principles
- Conduct code and architecture reviews, ensuring adherence to design patterns and coding standards
- Optimise applications for performance, security, and scalability
- Actively contribute to planning, estimations, and technical documentation
- Collaborate cross-functionally and with distributed teams in a fast-paced, Agile environment
The position is hybrid and requires relocation to Kraków, Poland.
