Senior DevOps Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure (Relocation to Spain)

Based in Spain, this is an exciting opportunity for a DevOps professional ready to relocate and take ownership of the design, implementation, and maintenance of modern DevOps practices and scalable cloud architecture.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and efficient software systems, support real-time trading capabilities, and drive automation across the development lifecycle.

About the Project

You’ll be supporting a state-of-the-art platform that delivers real-time Profit & Loss (P&L) and risk metrics, providing business-critical insights that power global trading decisions. Designed in close collaboration with stakeholders, this system is a cornerstone for managing risk and aligning tech with high-level business objectives. It is scalable, reliable, and business-aligned – a powerful tool for the modern enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines, enabling automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Architect and maintain robust AWS cloud environments, ensuring scalability, security, and high performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve build, integration, and release processes.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools.
• Manage and optimise IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions for performance, cost, and security.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive architecture documentation, blueprints, and solution plans.
• Monitor systems for reliability and performance; proactively troubleshoot issues.
• Work closely with security teams to ensure compliance and best security practices.
• Mentor junior DevOps engineers and foster best practices across the team.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or a similar technical role
• Proven experience with AWS cloud services
• Hands-on knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
• Skilled in Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python)
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in English
• Demonstrated success working with cross-functional and Agile teams
