Job Description


As a Compensation & Benefits Specialist, you will oversee and optimize payroll functions, allowances, and bonus calculations for both local and expatriate employees. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency particularly when handling scenarios involving non-applicable taxes and social insurance. You'll leverage your expertise in payroll systems and advanced spreadsheet tools to enhance process quality and data visibility across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, consolidate, and standardize payroll, bonus, and allowance formulas based on KPIs, performance results, and deliverables.
  • Design and maintain detailed payroll spreadsheets in Excel or Google Sheets for various employment models (e.g., project-based, milestone-based, or retainer).
  • Streamline payroll processes to improve accuracy, minimize errors, and establish real-time data dashboards for monitoring and reporting.
  • Recommend and implement practical solutions for time tracking, KPI collection, and task management using Google tools (Forms, AppSheet, Sheets, etc.).
  • Evaluate and propose compensation structures and incentive frameworks for expatriate employees with a focus on performance outcomes rather than taxation factors.


Requirements:

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, with strong command of functions like VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, QUERY, ARRAYFORMULA, FILTER, MAP, LAMBDA, and IMPORTRANGE.
  • Strong analytical and logical thinking with the ability to enhance spreadsheets and standardize workflows.
  • Skilled at converting payroll data into actionable insights, analytical models, and professional presentations.
  • Proven experience managing payroll for expatriates, particularly those on project-based, milestone-based, or fixed-rate contracts.
