Direct Hire, Full-Time (No C2C)
$150,000 to $175,000 + 20% Bonus

Job Summary
A growing financial data technology firm is seeking a senior full stack engineer to join its platform engineering group. The team builds and maintains complex index and ETF software solutions, supporting diverse product families including equities and custom indices. This is a hands-on engineering role in a fast-paced environment where clear communication, strong ownership, and attention to scalable, maintainable code are essential. Candidates demonstrating leadership may have future team management opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain core index calculation systems and related applications
- Write reliable, maintainable code with a focus on performance and readability
- Own the technical delivery of large features or components
- Collaborate with product and business teams to understand user needs and application use cases
- Analyze and implement technical changes to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability
- Support ongoing production systems and participate in critical issue resolution
- Clearly articulate technical ideas across technical and non-technical teams
- Deep understanding of modern software engineering principles (OOP, SOLID, testing practices, service-oriented design)
- 5+ years of experience working with C#, .NET Core, and related backend frameworks
- Strong database skills, including stored procedure development and schema design using MS SQL Server
- Experience developing multithreaded applications and Windows services
- Frontend proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JQuery, and AJAX
- Experience building REST APIs; familiarity with SOAP and WCF a plus
- Hands-on version control and CI/CD using Git and Jenkins
- React and Redux experience preferred
- Familiarity with ETL design and QA best practices
- Prior exposure to financial data or capital markets preferred
- Architectural experience and/or systems integration background is a bonus
