About the Role

A leading AI research initiative is seeking STEM PhD experts to contribute to a frontier project at the intersection of science, research, and artificial intelligence.

This initiative focuses on building agentic workflows — structured processes that model how experts think, reason, and solve complex problems.

Your contributions will help shape how next-generation AI systems learn and make decisions like human experts.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate domain knowledge into clear, structured instructions (SOPs, rubrics, evaluation criteria).
• Create realistic tasks and scenarios that mirror day-to-day professional activities in STEM disciplines.
• Collaborate with fellow experts to refine and validate workflows for accuracy, clarity, and reproducibility.
• Work alongside AI researchers and engineers to operationalize workflows within AI environments.
• Identify areas where AI can augment or replicate expert-level decision-making.

Qualifications

• PhD (or equivalent advanced degree) in a STEM field (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Mathematics, Engineering, or related).
• Strong ability to break down and explain complex processes step-by-step.
• Experience in research, teaching, or technical writing is a plus.
• Passion for bridging academic expertise with cutting-edge AI development.

Project Details

• Commitment: ~10 hours/week for 3 weeks.
• Schedule: Fully remote and flexible.
• Extension: Option to extend engagement and onboard additional experts as project needs evolve.

Compensation & Contract Terms

• Competitive hourly rate of $75/hour.
• Payments issued weekly via Stripe Connect.
• Structured as an independent contractor arrangement.
