What you will do
- Design and execute thorough manual test cases and test scripts based on system specifications and requirements.
- Develop multiple test scenarios, including non-traditional test cases, negative testing, edge cases, and performance considerations to ensure robust product validation.
- Collaborate with the development team to understand requirements, plan testing processes, and identify issues for correction.
- Create detailed logs to document testing phases and identify defects.
- Report bugs and errors to development teams, primarily using Jira.
- Troubleshoot issues and help identify root causes of defects.
- Create and maintain test cases, test scripts, test reports, and other test documentation, with experience in tools like xRay.
- Actively participate in Agile-Scrum development processes, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- 5+ years of experience with automation testing using Python.
- Experience with Selenium.
- Willingness to do manual testing.
- Proven experience in planning, designing, writing, and executing test cases and test scripts.
- Proficiency with Jira, xRay, GitHub, or GitLab.
- Availability to work EST hours.
- Solid understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic database knowledge (e.g., MySQL, Postgres).
- Experience testing cloud-hosted application software (AWS preferred).
- Ability to think creatively to develop multiple test scenarios including negative testing and edge cases.
- Quick learner with a passion for troubleshooting.
- Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail and proactive, adaptable work style.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage priorities in a fast-changing environment.
- Upper-Intermediate English level.
- Experience with Karate.
- Experience in the technology/saaS or procurement sectors.
