Job Title: Lead Research Scientist (MLLMs/VLMs)
Salary: $250k - $350k + Equity
Location: USA - Fully Remote
Responsibilities
- Lead research and development efforts around large language models (LLMs) and vision-language models (VLMs) with a focus on multimodal reasoning and creativity-enhancing applications
- Experience with modern Diffusion Models and Transformer Architectures.
- Build and deploy novel machine learning systems that bridge research and real-world user experience.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to bring advanced research into production-ready creative tools
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to a strong culture of learning and experimentation
- Own the full lifecycle of model development—from concept and prototyping to integration and deployment
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in ML research or engineering focused on LLMs or multimodal models
- Strong programming skills and ability to produce clean, maintainable research code
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to impactful ML projects from idea through to application
- Deep interest in building interactive, human-centered ML systems
- Experience mentoring peers or junior researchers
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for working on open-ended creative challenges
