TITLE: Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

LOCATION: San Diego, CA – Full-Time, On-Site Hybrid

COMPENSATION: $140K–$165K base + equity + excellent benefits

The Role

As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and managing financial production systems that process billions of on-chain and market data points, support quantitative strategies, and deliver real-time insights to the investment team. What You’ll Do

• End‑to‑end product ownership. Architect, build, and operate services spanning data ingestion, distributed compute, APIs, and UIs.
• Ship performant user interfaces. Deliver clean React / Next.js dashboards that empower the team to operate efficiently and make better investment decisions.
• Scale data pipelines. Write collectors and CDC jobs in Go / Python that fan out to QuestDB, Postgres, and object storage, handling terabytes per day.
• Integrate with blockchains and exchanges. Consume event streams, query APIs, and occasionally write smart contracts to bridge on‑chain and off‑chain logic.
• Champion engineering best practices. Automated testing, CI/CD, IaC (Terraform), observability (Prometheus, Grafana), and security reviews.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally. Work directly with PMs, quants, accounting, and portfolio‑company founders to turn ideas into production‑ready software.

Responsibilities:

• Write production-grade JavaScript/React code to support live asset control and monitoring
• Integrate backend APIs and telemetry data streams into responsive, intuitive UIs
• Develop tools for historical and high-resolution data review and offload
• Contribute to testing, deployment, and monitoring systems
• Prioritize reliability and usability, especially under variable network conditions

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of current hands-on experience in frontend web application development using JavaScript (TypeScript, Angular, React all work)
• Proficiency in at least one compiled language (we use Go).
• Solid grounding in data structures, real-time systems, and performance optimization.
• Comfort with Docker, Kubernetes, and a major cloud provider.
• Familiarity with blockchain concepts—EVM, smart contracts, on‑chain data—or a strong desire to ramp quickly.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and develop elegant solutions to difficult problems.
• Must be currently located in San Diego County, CA and work 2-3 days onsite; will consider relocation for exceptional candidates who are willing to move within 4 weeks of an offer.

Nice to Have's

• Solidity or Rust smart‑contract development experience.
• Quantitative finance, market‑making, or low‑latency trading background.
• Experience integrating with custody, exchange, or DeFi protocols.
