Key Responsibilities

• Lead the QA strategy and test planning efforts across multiple projects, ensuring thorough coverage and high-quality product releases.
• Take ownership of the automation framework design, development, and maintenance, driving scalable and reusable test automation solutions for web, mobile, and APIs.
• Mentor and guide a team of QA engineers, review test cases, provide feedback, and promote best practices in both manual and automated testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Developers, DevOps, and UX/UI Designers to understand business requirements and technical implementations.
• Conduct comprehensive testing, including:

1. Automated Regression Testing
2. End-to-End Testing
3. Performance & Load Testing
4. Security Testing (preferable)

• Perform code reviews of automated test scripts and support the team in improving code quality.
• Participate in Agile processes such as sprint planning, grooming sessions, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement of QA practices, documentation, and tooling.

What would you need?

• 5+ years of experience in Software QA, including 2+ years in a senior or lead capacity.
• Strong experience in test automation, with hands-on skills using tools like Selenium, Playwright, or Cucumber.
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java to write and maintain automation scripts.
• Deep understanding of testing methodologies, best practices, and software development lifecycles (Agile/Scrum).
• Expertise in API testing with tools like Postman.
• Strong database testing skills using SQL for backend validation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bonus: Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter, k6, or LoadRunner.
• Priority will be given to Malaysians or expats currently residing in Malaysia.
