Senior Observability Engineer (relocation to the Netherlands)
Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Observability Engineer who is willing to relocate to join our Client’s team in the Hague, the Netherlands.
Key Responsibilities
- Design an Observability Solution to integrate selected technologies and tools within the Interoperability Toolset (IO Toolset).
- Develop automated deployment and configuration scripts for seamless implementation.
- Implement and deploy a pilot Observability solution on NATO Software Factory (NSF) test environments.
- Integrate the IO Toolset with the observability solution using open standards.
- Create and implement dashboards to provide real-time visualization for stakeholders.
- Provide support for software in operational environments, ensuring robust system performance.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in IT systems design and development.
- Expertise in designing, deploying, and configuring Observability solutions with a focus on Microsoft service-oriented architectures.
- Hands-on experience with authentication and authorization flows, including OAuth and OIDC using Keycloak.
- Proficiency in instrumenting .NET applications using OpenTelemetry for both off-the-shelf and custom metrics.
- Skilled in integrating observability solutions into Microsoft-oriented environments.
- Strong knowledge of secure coding principles and writing clean, modular, loosely coupled code.
- Experience with tools like ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana (ELK) or equivalent.
- Proficiency with Docker, Azure DevOps pipelines, and scripting using PowerShell.
- Strong command of English, with exceptional communication skills.
- Capable of translating business requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Experience in collaborating with teams of 5+ developers and testers.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with test management, planning, execution, and reporting.
- Familiarity with quality assurance and control processes.
- Knowledge of C#, .NET 6 or later, and Entity Framework (EF6/Core).
