At least 1 year of active, hands-on experience with SwiftUI is required, meaning you’ve been actively working on and implementing features in SwiftUI—not just following a course. You should feel comfortable facing real-life challenges and applying your skills to build robust, scalable mobile applications.

Your Role at Speakap

As a Senior iOS Engineer, you will play a key role in driving the development of our mobile platform. Your focus will be on modernizing mobile development, advocating for iOS best practices, and delivering a top-tier user experience. You’ll be a critical voice in architectural decisions, collaborating with a talented team of engineers, designers, and product managers to build impactful solutions.

What You'll Do:

• Champion modern iOS standards, engineering best practices, and high-quality software craftsmanship.
• Architect and develop iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, and the latest Apple frameworks and APIs.
• Proactively improve mobile development practices, including automation, CI/CD, performance optimization, and scalability.
• Engage in architectural discussions, proposing practical solutions that balance innovation with maintainability.
• Provide technical mentorship to the team, raising coding standards and encouraging professional growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement features that provide an exceptional user experience.
• Maintain high code quality through testing, peer reviews, and adherence to Clean Code principles.
• Identify and address technical debt, ensuring a well-maintained and efficient codebase.

About You

You’re passionate about building smooth, high-performance mobile experiences and solving complex problems. You know how to balance getting things done with writing clean, maintainable code, and you thrive in a collaborative environment. Constant learning and staying on top of industry trends are core to your professional approach.

What You Bring:

• A BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• At least 6 years of professional experience in iOS development, with 4+ years specializing in React (or a related technology) and 1 year of hands-on experience with SwiftUI.
• Strong expertise in Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and familiarity with MVVM or VIPER architecture.
• A passion for clean, SOLID, maintainable, and secure code.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Swift Package Manager.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex concepts in a clear and approachable way.
