Job Overview
We seek a skilled Professional Engineer (PE) to join our client’s engineering team. This role focuses on designing precast and prestressed concrete components and managing projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate is a licensed PE with expertise in structural design and a proven ability to oversee complex construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and review precast/prestressed concrete components, including members, connections, and detailing, ensuring compliance with PCI and ACI standards.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables, coordinating with drafters, production teams, contractors, and clients.
- Provide technical expertise for handling, transportation, and erection of precast elements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize designs for manufacturability and cost efficiency.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure adherence to project specifications and safety regulations.
- Support business development through technical proposals and client engagement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Kansas or eligibility for comity/reciprocity.
- 3+ years of experience in Construction design, preferably for commercial or infrastructure projects.
- Strong project management skills, with experience leading construction or manufacturing projects.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and structural analysis tools.
- Knowledge of PCI certification standards and concrete construction practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work in the greater Wichita, KS area (relocation assistance may be available).
