Company Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading software engineering clients! They are currently looking for a skilled UX Designer to join their team for a three-month contract.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

We are seeking a talented UX Designer to join our Experience Design team on a contract basis, working on our platform of cloud products for the Construction industry.

1. Evolve rough concepts into high-quality UX mock-ups and clickable prototypes for feedback and testing.
2. Support the production of compelling presentations to communicate new feature concepts.
3. Produce reusable UI components and other assets to expand our UI design language.
4. Support our growing design system with well-organised files and assets.
5. Engage in critiques and other sessions as part of our regular project related design team activities.

Required Skills/Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following:

1. Highly proficient in Figma for UX and UI design and rapid prototyping.
2. Prior experience designing for web applications.
3. Strong understanding of component-based UI design.
4. A great eye for visual and interaction details.
5. Experience working with and contributing to design systems.
6. Experience in user research - interviews, ethnography, user testing, etc.
7. Ability to use Microsoft Office 365 tools (Teams, PowerPoint, Excel).
8. Self-starter with the ability to proactively ask questions, clarify briefs, explore alternatives.
9. Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Desirable Skills/Experience

Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:

1. Experience with web front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React).
2. Experience working with 3D graphics and/or engineering/construction products
3. Experience creating UIs with a focus on data visualisation/dashboards.
