Are you an applied data science expert with a proven track record in fine tuning models and deploying cutting edge computer vision and deep learning solutions?

NexGen Global 🌐 are exclusively partnered with one of Southeast Asia’s most pioneering technology powerhouses, they are currently seeking to onboard a Senior Technical Expert, Applied Data Science & AI.

This is a unique opportunity to lead groundbreaking AI/ML initiatives, engineer real-world impact and contribute to one of the region’s most vibrant and forward thinking tech ecosystems in Southeast Asia.

What you will do:

• Own and drive advanced machine learning and deep learning projects, with a focus on fine-tuning models for optimal performance.
• Build, scale and commercialise computer vision applications and intelligent systems.
• Apply deep learning to complex, high impact use cases across imaging, object detection, and predictive modelling.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product and Data teams to build robust, production-ready AI solutions.
• Mentor talent, shape technical direction and champion innovation across AI and computer vision domains.
• Explore and implement the latest in model optimisation, MLOps and deployment at scale.

What’s already expected:

• Kaggle Expert, Master or Grandmaster status (highly desirable) or achievements in other data science competitions, open source projects or AI/ML awards.
• 8+ years of applied Data Science experience, with hands-on contributions to high impact AI solutions.
• Demonstrated success in fine-tuning models for production use; especially in deep learning and computer vision applications.
• Strong command of Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, OpenCV and cloud-based ML platforms.
• Experience working with large, unstructured datasets (image/video/audio) and building scalable pipelines.
• Agile mindset, strategic thinking, and a passion for real-world AI deployment and impact.
