Senior Native Mobile Developer

As a Senior Native Android Developer at Newtracs, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mobile applications for Android using native Java / Kotlin.

Your role will involve:

• You will be responsible for the migration of an existing codebase from React Native to Native
• Developing and maintaining mobile applications using native mobile languages (Java / Kotlin)
• Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Collaborating with the team to design and implement new features and improvements.
• Troubleshooting and debugging issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Work independently and collaboratively in a small team environment.
• Participate in the full application lifecycle, from concept to deployment and beyond.
• Continuously improve the development process and suggest improvements.

Requirements:

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proven experience as a Native Mobile Developer.
• Expert knowledge of native development for Android (Kotlin, Java).
• Experience working in small teams and handling full mobile app development independently.
• Experience with map-related / geospatial functionalities and integrations is highly advantageous.
• Experience working with client side databases of varying types ("offline-first") is highly advantageous.
• Experience working with React Native is a plus.
• Familiarity with Android Auto integration is a plus.
