Our client is a dedicated digital innovation unit within one of the world’s largest and most recognised security companies. With 370,000+ employees globally, they’re reimagining the future of security by combining human expertise with cutting-edge data, AI, and cloud technologies.
This team leads the company’s digital product development, designing solutions that turn real-time data into predictive insights. They’ve built a collaborative, flat-structured environment where engineers are encouraged to own their domain and grow with the business.
The role – Senior AI/ML Engineer with MLOps & Azure expertise
They’re now looking for an experienced AI/ML Engineer to take full ownership of their machine learning infrastructure and deployment processes – a gap that’s existed in the team for several years.
This role sits at the heart of the AI team and works cross-functionally with Data Scientists, AI Leads, and product stakeholders to build and deploy machine learning models that drive real-world decisions. You’ll work primarily in Azure and Databricks, building robust, production-ready solutions focused on automation, risk prediction, and generative AI.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement and deploy scalable AI/ML models and solutions
- Own the MLOps lifecycle - from data pipelines to model monitoring
- Build infrastructure for training, validation and deployment of AI models
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to align solutions with business needs
- Help bridge the gap between data science and engineering within a highly capable team
What they’re looking for Must-haves:
- 5+ years in AI/ML engineering, including production deployment experience
- Strong Azure experience - especially with Databricks
- Deep MLOps expertise - comfortable owning the lifecycle from dev to prod
- Experience with GenAI, LLMs, AI agents, and RAG
- Solid software engineering fundamentals - not just modelling, but systems thinking
- Excellent communication skills – this is a small, collaborative, stakeholder-heavy team
Nice-to-haves:
- DevOps, CI/CD, Agile development background
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar
- Experience in cost optimisation and monitoring of cloud ML solutions
Location & ways of working
- Based in Malmö - relocation within Europe is welcome
- Hybrid model - Mondays & Thursdays in the office (team breakfast on Thursdays)
- No travel required
- English-speaking team (Swedish not required)
- Visa sponsorship possible for exceptional candidates, but preference given to local/EU-based applicants
Salary & benefits
- 70,000 SEK/month
- Permanent role - not open to contractors or consultants
- MacBook Pro provided
- Newly renovated office near Malmö Central
- After-work perks (beer/wine fridge, Nintendo Switch)
- Support for attending conferences, workshops, and upskilling
- A culture that values work-life balance - overtime is strongly discouraged
Why apply?
- Real ownership - this role has been missing from the team for years; your expertise will drive how AI is embedded into their global product offering
- Flat, collaborative culture - be part of a company that trusts its engineers and invests in your development
- Tech with impact - work on ML products that make the world a safer place
