Title: Data Scientist – Environmental Data & Industrial Modeling (Paris)
An innovative climate intelligence company is growing their presence in Paris and seeking a Data Scientist with a passion for sustainability and complex data systems. In this role, you’ll contribute to the development of forward-looking analytical tools that help industries align with global climate goals.
You’ll be involved in crafting data models for sectors like cement, aluminum, and power, supporting real-world applications of sustainability metrics in business. The team offers a startup-style culture with real impact potential and the room to shape both product and process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop robust data models capturing environmental and industrial trends across multiple sectors
- Work with internal stakeholders to embed insights into product development
- Communicate technical findings to clients and assist with any data-related inquiries
- Support quality assurance processes to maintain the accuracy and consistency of datasets
- Stay ahead of the curve by researching new methodologies in data science and sustainability analytics
- Contribute to internal documentation and data model transparency
Your Background:
- Minimum of 3 years in a data science or related analytical role
- Strong working knowledge of Python and R
- Comfortable with data modeling, visual storytelling, and statistical methods
- Bonus: Exposure to natural language processing techniques
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt and explain complex concepts clearly
- Fluent in English is required; French is a plus
