Job Description
Work Set-up: Fully remote
Work Schedule: Mid Shift - 4PM to 1AM PHT (Monday - Friday) OR Night Shift - 9PM to 6AM PHT (Monday - Friday)
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with our current Unity developer to design and implement immersive 3D experiences for VR headsets (specifically Meta Quest).
- Develop, optimize, and refine 3D environments, meshes, and other assets using Unity for VR applications.
- Write high-quality C# code to manage back-end and front-end VR functionalities.
- Integrate VR-specific features like motion tracking, interactions, and 3D spatial rendering.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning of VR applications.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of VR features.
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership, particularly around advanced Unity and C# practices.
- Potentially contribute to other aspects of the SaaS platform (pending project evolution).
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of Unity development experience with a focus on 3D and VR applications.
- Strong proficiency in C#, with the ability to work on both front-end and back-end code.
- Proven experience in developing and deploying VR applications, particularly on Meta Quest or similar VR headsets.
- Expertise in 3D modeling, rendering, and creating VR environments using Unity.
- Strong understanding of VR-specific challenges like performance optimization, motion tracking, and spatial interactions.
- Experience working with agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in SaaS development.
- Experience in computer science and software engineering principles.
- Familiarity with Unreal Engine is a plus but not required.
